THE GREAT ALL–ROUNDER – RACE AND TEST PROVEN
Completely redesigned for the 2019 season, our 'do it all' bike, the ONE-TWENTY has taken the international cycling press by storm and also managed to add the Design & Innovation award to its trophy cabinet. Riders and the press alike appreciated the versatility of our mid travel bike, the hugely efficient rear suspension configuration and the sheer unstoppable trail munching capabilities. While very much a trail bike at heart, the modern, yet balanced, trail bike geometry, paired with fantastic frame stiffness created a mid-travel bike that is super capable on rough trails but also carries speed perfectly on less technically demanding tracks.
Lightweight 6066 series aluminium triple butted and hydroformed frameset with ‘Smooth welding’ and internal cable routing. Tapered head tube for precise steering, Boost standard and rear through axle for rear end stiffness. Floating shock provides 120 mm of travel.
Selected bolts can be tightened via a TORX 30 key from just one side, without running the risk that the opposite side slips or turns, allowing faster and more straightforward tightening of important hardware components.
The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver plushness and pedalling efficiency. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression, which means that a ‘Float Link’ system is very sensitive, delivering great support in mid-travel and the appearance of more than the model name suggests. Our ‘Float Link’ rear ends create the feeling of almost bottomless travel whilst remaining perfectly controlled when climbing.
Atrunnion mount shock gives our frame designers more flexibility by using a shorter shock with increased stroke. Combined with the ball bearing bushing of the upper mount, shock sensitivity is increased, and the suspension performance can be perfectly tuned.
A dropper post is allowing the rider to get the saddle out of the way when the gradient gets steeper, giving him/her more space to manoeuver and control over their bike. The fitted dropper posts featuring internal cable routing and remote levers, creating a cleaner look and allowing easier ‘on the go’ saddle height adjustment.
Based on the already hugely versatile geometry of the former ONE-TWENTY, we have further lowered the standover height to give the rider ample space to manoeuver. We also slackened the head angle and shortened the chainstays by 10 mm resulting in an even more playful bike while offering the perfect compromise between being a great climber and an agile trail bike.
|Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and durable. Using triple butted wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can tune the aluminium tubes to give the best possible stiffness to weight ratio.
Our X-Tapered headtube offers the space for a tapered fork to be fitted. Tapered forks offer superb stiffness and precise and deliver confidence-inspiring steering.
Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance, you will be convinced it is carbon
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt
Ensures that internally routed cables and wires can’t move freely and remain easily accessible for servicing.
Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trails or roads get rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc
Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.
The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio, and progression meaning a ‘Float Link’ rear suspension system appears to offer more travel than the model name suggests
Selected bolts can be tightened via a TORX 30 key from just one side, without running the risk that the opposite side slips or turns, allowing faster and more straightforward tightening of important hardware components.
