Great Tires

Great Tires for the Indian roads. 3500km on one tire and 2800km on the other. Installed on 11/2 and 22/2 respectively. Only one puncture till date.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!
Would have loved to purchase a second set and keep in spare.
Unfortunately out of stock for a long time.
Hopefully it will be available soon at BOTS.

Perfect Tires for Mixed Road Conditions

The reality of Indian roads is that we get mixed road conditions almost all the time. While we may have 80% good tarmac during a ride, there will always be bad stretches which will almost be fully responsible for flats. My OE tire on my road bike was getting a flat every other week, so took the leap of faith on to the gator skins 700 X 25c, have ridden about 1000Kms on it so far and not had any flat on the same roads. Feels fine at about 100-105 PSI, though would prefer 90-95 for comfort if the road allows it. If the tarmac is very good, then even a lower pressure might be enough to avoid flats as these tires feel solid.

Continental Gatorskin PolyX Breaker 700c Foldable (Black/Black Skin)

The Mumbai roads, less said the better and too many punctures in the last week. Had to buy the much talked about Continental Gatorskin which has a good market reputation.Was apprehensive to shift from existing 700X28 to 700X25 however took the leap of faith and it has not disappointed me till date (290 kms so far). The tyres feels sturdy and with 95 PSI (I weight 80 kgs) its comfortable on tarmac; concrete roads can't say the same. 110-115 PSI a road bike feels faster (as compared to a 700X28) by almost 1km if not 1.5 kmh on the 700X25 Continental Gatorskin PolyX Breaker. So if my on-going good relationship with these tyres carries on (though a little too early to say), with no punctures so far, definitely going forward will subscribe to 700X25 profile instead of 700X28. Special mention & thumbs up to Bumsonthesaddle Team for delivering the product within 4 working days (despite of not knowing any one of them personally) and they always answer to your messages promptly.
