Washable Mask and Replaceable Filter

The mask is hand-washable with mild soap after removing the filter. To maintain full performance of the mask, we opted for a replaceable filter, which should be replaced every six months or so, depending on use. You can reactivate the active carbon filter several times using filtered boiling water.

Filter replacement and re-activation

The filter needs to be reactivated once per month when used regularly.

After six months, the active carbon cannot be reactivated and so the filter must be replaced.

Reactivation process

• Boil filtered water and immerse the filter in the still-boiling water
• After five minutes, remove the filter and set it to dry in the sunshine.

We recommend reactivating the filter once per month (more often if pollution levels are high) and replacing the filter after six reactivation.
