After owning two of these jerseys for the past year, I felt like this review was necessary. I would highly recommend this jersey to any rider looking to get a good starting jersey to replace their baggy t-shirt with a snug-fitting jersey with pockets. The pockets will hold whatever you put in them (even sliced a banana in half once) but stuff in your pocket is susceptible to moisture from your back and the road like most open jersey pockets. The jersey appears to be built around a short to medium torso person, so ensure that the jersey is the right length while buying. The jersey is ideal for 25-32 °C temperatures within smog and traffic-filled streets. But is personally too chilly for fast riding at temperatures lower than that without base layers. On particularly hot days with hard efforts, adjust the zipper for better cooling.
This jersey is most certainly NOT a skin-hugging jersey. Then again, you are not paying the same price as a Santini or Castelli jersey, nor is this Apace's race fit. Do note that the jersey is symmetrical across the front and back, and not longer at the back, so if you are wearing just the right size and leaning forwards, you may find yourself often pulling the jersey back down as it bunches up near your waist and makes pocket-access tedious (Like the blue, and yellow jerseys in the picture of the riders on their bikes). The elastic waistband is comfortable during short-medium rides (0 - 3.5 hours), however, I believe it is the root cause of the aforementioned bunching up. Found that the jersey is not very restrictive, but the elastic band can be mildly infuriating sometimes. The sleeve construction is also confusing as for the average skinny and slightly-toned cyclists, the band bunches up snug up to restrictively but the sleeves themselves bunch up to form ripples.
