I chose this product after some intense research online. I wanted a powerful light available online in India, but not at a high price point. The price of this light on BOTS is a steal and is equivalent to the price abroad. The product was well packed and though it was delayed due to the COVID lockdown, the wait was worth it. The light comes as a RTR so you just need to install the handlebar bracket mount and tighten the screw with the provided allen key. The remote control runs on a provided CR2032 and sits on your grips with a fastening velcro. The build quality is also top notch with very little plastic to be found. The main body is machined from aluminum, as is the lens housing, and if you drop it the worst you are going to do is a couple of scratches. Both the remote control and the light unit is waterproof and I have used it during heavy rains and it worked like a breeze. The beam pattern from this light is amazing and so is the throw. The DuaLens optical low beam is engineered such that it does not dazzle the oncoming traffic or people at full power low beam. I haven't received a single complaint or disgusted faces from oncoming people. The Dual LEDs for HiLo beam system, provides illuminating light similar to automotive headlight with far reaching high beam and low beam. As per their website, it is the world’s first bike light with high beam and low beam, a simulation of an automobile’s headlight design. I have used the light in complete darkness and the performance and throw of the light is similar to that of a car. The light makes heads turn and people are amused that a non motor vehicle throws such powerful beam! The light and its beam patterns can be controlled via the remote control buttons on the go. The display screen on the light unit gives an estimate of run time on the selected mode. Battery backup of this light is really good. It is as per what is claimed on their specifications section. The unit can even run connected via an external power bank on the move. There is also a USB slot which you can use to charge your mobile phone via a charging cable, which you would need to carry along. The bracket has a quick release design for easily slide in and out. On full power 1600 lumens, the body heats up, here is where the aluminum helps in dissipating the heat. As for the competition, there is the Giant Recon HL1600, which is overall plasticky. The Ravemen is a few hundred bucks more but its overall build quality and materials are much higher spec, plus you have the better beam patterns. The only drawback I found about the light is scrolling through the modes, but once you get used to it, the process is straightforward. To sum up, this is a great light for the price, excellent optics, superb beam pattern and robust build quality.
