The FC-RS200 is a 2x8-speed crankset for square bottom brackets. With integrated chainguard. Proven Shimano technology at an affordable price.
Bottom bracket is not included! Shimano recommends the optional BB-UN26 square bottom bracket.

Technology
HG Sprockets
The distinctively designed HYPERGLIDE sprockets incorporate specially positioned shift ramps and tooth profiles for improved chain control during shifting. Fast and responsive indexed shifting is the result.
The HG cassette sprocket, which was developed for the MTB 10-speed system, underwent comprehensive optimization to achieve super-highly efficient shifting.

Although this is the most affordable crankset from Shimano, it's doesn't feel cheap. The crank arms and the chain guard feel solid, since they're die-cast metal. A perfect replacement for cranksets of entry-level road bikes.
