Cup and cone bearing
cone bearings are more resilient than sealed industrial compact bearings , as cone bearings can absorb both axial and radial forces equally effectively, making them extremely light in running and long lasting. Cone bearings are also easier to maintain, adjust and replace.
The tool-free through-axle system optimizes the strength and load distribution and ensures trouble-free operation thanks to the reliable internal cam mechanism and the new attachment method. The 15mm rear axle system is 15% more resistant to torsional forces and 25% more resistant to transversal shear forces than a conventional 9mm front axle system with quick release. The unchanged high strength is in an optimal relation to the weight. The E-thru axle hub system minimizes twisting of the suspension and is light enough even for sharp turns at high speed (only with thru axle version).
