    Beware of this dealership

I purchased this Specialized Henge Saddle in Jan 21 and it developed shaking in in the rails and making noise while riding within a couple if months after usage. This was a clear manufacturing defect and was pointed out to their technical who was actually convinced when shown on video. However when sent for replacement asthe warrenty was for one year they just rejected saying some cock and bull stories and returned the product. However I am planning to proceed through consumer court. But my suggestion to the public is to avoid buying from such distrustful dealers who sherk their responsibility and push the customer from piller to post.

Thanks for sharing your opinion on this Venkitachalam. A few points to clarify here

#1. The technical team had asked for the saddle to be shipped to us for us to validate it as it is impossible to check for saddle warranty via images. The warranty was not confirmed via call and the saddle was not called in for a 'warranty replacement'

#2. Once the product reached us, we noticed two issues
    A. There was a deep scratch on the bottom of the saddle
    B. There was a shake in one of the rails

Point A was cause the bolt on your seat post was mostly touching the saddle - hence the noise when you were on the bike. We installed your saddle on our test bike and there was no noise when we took the saddle for a spin

Point B - is a tad trickier. A LOT of saddles develop this with a small fall off the bike. In this case, the saddle was purchased in January with quite a few months of riding and a warranty was applied for much later in the year. From our experience of how Specialized handled warranty on Wear and Tear components - the team had said that the warranty cannot be approved and that you're welcome to connect with the brand as an 'escalation'. It's what the brand expects riders to do.

Might not be an ideal outcome for you - but this was a carefully evaluated decision keeping all points in mind.
