X01 Eagle AXS X-HORIZON Rear Derailleur

It’s an all-new derailleur that’s specifically designed and optimised to be motor-driven instead of cable-actuated. AXS powered components enable customisation and scale to an individual rider’s liking via the AXS App. It features a shorter cage for 10mm more ground clearance, with more chain wrap on the cassette to sit slightly further forward, and further inboard from mechanical Eagle. The Eagle AXS derailleur is smart enough to protect itself thanks to its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch. In the event of an impact, the motor gearbox disengages, giving the derailleur freedom to move, and instantly returns back to its position for a seamless experience for the rider. The system is tested to IP69K water and dust proofing standard for creek crossings, mud splatterings and the resulting post-ride pressure washings.

AXS™ is SRAM’s new bike component integration system that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS™ app allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalize controls, get maintenance reminders, and update firmware.

X-HORIZON™

The X-HORIZON™ rear derailleur's 'straight parallelogram' design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears.

X-ACTUATION™

Developed specifically for SRAM X1, X-ACTUATION™ keeps shifting sharp and consistent across the entire cassette. Multi-adjustable trigger shifter. MatchMaker X compatible.

ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™

ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ rear derailleurs deliver maximum drivetrain stability-even through the most punishing terrain. With ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ technology, derailleur bounce and chain slap are eliminated without sacrificing precision.

CAGE LOCK™

With CAGE LOCK™ technology in the rear derailleur, wheel removal and installation-as well as chain installation-becomes faster and simpler. Just pushing the cage forward to create slack and lock it into place.

X-SYNC™

SRAM X-SYNC™ provides the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-SYNC™ tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC™ chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-SYNC™ rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1X™ drivetrain.

SRAM Eagle AXS Controller

No cable, housing or wires to manage opened up design and engineering possibilities with the Eagle AXS™ controller. Helping SRAM pioneer a completely new shifting experience with ergonomic touchpoints that take just enough effort to press.

Touchpoints that are totally customizable to your preferences, allowing you to choose which button does what through the AXS™ app. Choose from three functions: Inboard shift. Outboard shift. Dropper. Use one of the touchpoints to control your electronic Reverb AXS™ dropper seatpost. And the power save mode in the controller wakes up after a single touch to save battery when not in use.

The Secret Sprint Paddle

Beyond the controller’s standard paddle, an included "Secret Sprint" paddle oriented on the front-side of the controller near your index knuckle allows for quick shifts with virtually no change to your grip on the handlebar.
