Overview
The Checkpoint SL 5 AXS Gen 3 is built on a 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame with IsoSpeed, a downtube storage door, invisible cable routing and a full carbon fork with a tapered carbon steerer. It is designed to be a light, comfortable base for gravel riding and bikepacking.
A 1x12 SRAM Apex AXS drivetrain with an Apex XPLR eTap AXS rear derailleur and an 11-44 cassette handles the gearing, paired with a 40T DUB crank. Bontrager Paradigm SL tubeless-ready wheels carry Girona RSL 700x42 mm tyres, and the frame adds hidden mudguard mounts, rack mounts and integrated frame bag mounts.
In Lava / Black Olive it suits riders who want one carbon bike for gravel rides, commuting and multi-day trips.
