Overview
Moonlander runs 4.8-inch tires on 100mm-wide rims — a footprint big enough to be ridden at very low pressure, which, like a snowshoe, delivers float and traction across terrain that stops a normal bike cold: wet ground, roots, rocks, loose gravel, sand, and deep snow.
The frame is 100% Surly 4130 CroMoly steel with tubing designed specifically for this bike, paired with a tapered straight-blade butted CroMoly fork with a 51mm IS front disc mount. The geometry mirrors a standard mountain bike, with enough bottom bracket height for bushwhacking and rock crawling while staying low enough to feel stable.
This is a bike built for genuine exploration — bikepacking into places with no defined trail, winter riding on snowmobile routes, or simply finding out what's beyond where a regular bike can go.

Because the frame geometry keeps the bottom bracket height generous, it's worth getting used to the stance before loading it up with bikepacking gear.
