The Merida Scultura 4000 Road Bike is ready to roll out the door day-in-day-out for fun, fitness, or even racing. You get the same great Scultura Lite Alloy frame which gets better and better every year, paired with a full CF2 Carbon Fork for confidence-inspiring control and steering. The 400 is equipped with a 2x11 speed Shimano 105 Drivetrain which is performance-oriented, right in that sweet spot for the recreational rider that wants to go fast or the experienced rider that just wants a workhorse to get the job done. The Shimano 105 Hydraulic Disc Brakes provide simple and efficient braking and are a bit cheaper than the disc brake model which is a nice added bonus. All around this bike provides great value, it is a decent step up in quality from the 2X10 Speed Shimano Tiagra on the Scultura 300 and is the highest quality alloy frame Scultura. The Merida Scultura 400 combines a quality alloy frame/carbon fork combination with Shimano 105 and high-quality Hydraulic Disc brakes for a bike that is well-rounded and ready for any road ride.

Lifetime* Warranty

Merida Bicycles are covered by the following warranty terms ensuring freedom from defects in materials and workmanship.Models from 2011 onwards are covered by the following warranty

*Note: A products lifetime is considered as 15 years.


Frameset:

  • Our frames are covered by a Lifetime Warranty for the entire ownership of the original purchaser. Exclusions apply. This applies to manufacturing and material defects and includes bikes used for racing
  • A rider and equipment weight limit of 120kg applies; 140kg for performance and hybrid eBikes.
  • Category 5 models carry a 5 year warranty

Forks: Carbon and aluminium rigid forks are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of purchase.

  1. Merida branded components, including paint and finish, are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  2. Bikes used for Racing are excluded.

All other original parts shall be covered exclusively by the stated warranty of their original manufacturer

Exclusions
  • Misuse or Negligence: The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligent handling of the products, including but not limited to improper installation, disassembly, or modification.
  • Unauthorized Repairs or Alterations: Any attempt to repair or alterations by individuals or service providers not authorized by the manufacturer will void the warranty.
  • Natural Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration, scratches, dents and fading over time, are excluded from the warranty coverage.
  • Accidents or External Forces: Damages caused by accidents, improper packing, collisions, unauthorized tampering or exposure to extreme external forces (e.g., impacts, falls, or severe weather conditions) are not covered under this warranty.
  • Incompatible Use: The warranty does not extend to damages resulting from using the products in ways inconsistent with their intended purpose or specifications.
  • Failure to Follow Instructions: Damages arising from a failure to follow the product's operating instructions, guidelines, or recommended practices as outlined in the user manual are not covered.
  • Battery Exclusions: For products with rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries, the warranty may exclude battery degradation over time or failures caused by non-compliance with proper charging procedures.
  • Third-Party Accessories: Damages caused by the use of third-party accessories, components, or modifications not explicitly approved by the manufacturer are not covered.
  • Failure to Provide Proof of Purchase: Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, and failure to provide such documentation may result in the exclusion of the product from warranty coverage.
  • Exclusion for Water Damage: Any damage relating to damage caused by water because some products are water repellant but not Water Proof
  • Non-specified conditions: Not includes damaged caused to products by improper accessories or improper fittings or for use in non specified conditions

  • The warranty is available only to the Original purchaser/buyer of products
  • Service must be performed by Brand or an authorized reseller.
  • Insurance, handling and transportation charges to Brand Distributor shall be borne by Customer.
  • For some products registration is required to extend the warranty. Failure to register voids extended warranty
  • The decision to replace or repair a product is influenced by the brand and various factors
