The Merida Speeder 200 Flat Bar Road Bike is a fitness machine designed for the rider that loves road bike efficiency but not the drop bars. The Speeder is a quality flat-bar road bike with its lightweight alloy frame and even better CF2 tapered carbon fork which gives you an incredibly smooth ride. The geometry of the Speeder puts you in an upright and comfortable position which is noticeably different to drop bar road bikes and is a great solution for the rider that wants that road bike style with added comfort. The 2x9 speed Shimano Sora drivetrain has a range of gears for you to really test yourself and get fit, commute with speed or just glide up any climb. The 2x9 Sora groupset is the main upgrade over the 3x8 speed Acera drivetrain on the Speeder 100 and it is a worthy upgrade. On top of that, it is equipped with Tektro M275 Hydraulic Disc Brakes which are reliable in all weather conditions, perfect for when you have to commute in the wet. The Merida Speeder 200 is action-packed for fun and fitness on the pavement, commute like a pro, or just relax with your mates on the Speeder 200.

Lifetime* Warranty

Merida Bicycles are covered by the following warranty terms ensuring freedom from defects in materials and workmanship.Models from 2011 onwards are covered by the following warranty

*Note: A products lifetime is considered as 15 years.


Frameset:

  • Our frames are covered by a Lifetime Warranty for the entire ownership of the original purchaser. Exclusions apply. This applies to manufacturing and material defects and includes bikes used for racing
  • A rider and equipment weight limit of 120kg applies; 140kg for performance and hybrid eBikes.
  • Category 5 models carry a 5 year warranty

Forks: Carbon and aluminium rigid forks are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of purchase.

  1. Merida branded components, including paint and finish, are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  2. Bikes used for Racing are excluded.

All other original parts shall be covered exclusively by the stated warranty of their original manufacturer

Exclusions
  • Misuse or Negligence: The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligent handling of the products, including but not limited to improper installation, disassembly, or modification.
  • Unauthorized Repairs or Alterations: Any attempt to repair or alterations by individuals or service providers not authorized by the manufacturer will void the warranty.
  • Natural Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration, scratches, dents and fading over time, are excluded from the warranty coverage.
  • Accidents or External Forces: Damages caused by accidents, improper packing, collisions, unauthorized tampering or exposure to extreme external forces (e.g., impacts, falls, or severe weather conditions) are not covered under this warranty.
  • Incompatible Use: The warranty does not extend to damages resulting from using the products in ways inconsistent with their intended purpose or specifications.
  • Failure to Follow Instructions: Damages arising from a failure to follow the product's operating instructions, guidelines, or recommended practices as outlined in the user manual are not covered.
  • Battery Exclusions: For products with rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries, the warranty may exclude battery degradation over time or failures caused by non-compliance with proper charging procedures.
  • Third-Party Accessories: Damages caused by the use of third-party accessories, components, or modifications not explicitly approved by the manufacturer are not covered.
  • Failure to Provide Proof of Purchase: Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, and failure to provide such documentation may result in the exclusion of the product from warranty coverage.
  • Exclusion for Water Damage: Any damage relating to damage caused by water because some products are water repellant but not Water Proof
  • Non-specified conditions: Not includes damaged caused to products by improper accessories or improper fittings or for use in non specified conditions

  • The warranty is available only to the Original purchaser/buyer of products
  • Service must be performed by Brand or an authorized reseller.
  • Insurance, handling and transportation charges to Brand Distributor shall be borne by Customer.
  • For some products registration is required to extend the warranty. Failure to register voids extended warranty
  • The decision to replace or repair a product is influenced by the brand and various factors
