The Cateye Lights and Cyclocomputer products are covered by a warranty ensuring freedom from defects in materials and workmanship for a duration of 2 years from the date of the original purchase. In the event of a malfunction occurring during normal use, Cateye commits to either repairing or replacing the defective product at no cost to the customer.

Exclusions

  • Misuse or Negligence: The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligent handling of the products, including but not limited to improper installation, disassembly, or modification.

  • Unauthorized Repairs or Alterations: Any attempt to repair or alter the bicycle lights by individuals or service providers not authorized by the manufacturer will void the warranty.

  • Natural Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration, scratches, and fading over time, are excluded from the warranty coverage.

  • Accidents or External Forces: Damages caused by accidents, collisions, or exposure to extreme external forces (e.g., impacts, falls, or severe weather conditions) are not covered under this warranty.

  • Incompatible Use: The warranty does not extend to damages resulting from using the bicycle lights & Computers in ways inconsistent with their intended purpose or specifications.

  • Failure to Follow Instructions: Damages arising from a failure to follow the product's operating instructions, guidelines, or recommended practices as outlined in the user manual are not covered.

  • Battery Exclusions: For products with rechargeable batteries, the warranty may exclude battery degradation over time or failures caused by non-compliance with proper charging procedures.

  • Third-Party Accessories: Damages caused by the use of third-party accessories, components, or modifications not explicitly approved by the manufacturer are not covered.

  • Failure to Provide Proof of Purchase: Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, and failure to provide such documentation may result in the exclusion of the product from warranty coverage.

Happy, just minor glitches

Happy with the service till now! Just a small glitch where the speed gets to 99.9kmph suddenly. Guess that’s the price of not investing on a high end one. But this serves the ouprpose really well!

CatEye Pradone+ Bicycle Computer

I purchased this computer for my Contino Galactic MTB and have been using it for a week, now. I am delighted by the ease of set-up of this product and also the fact that it is backlit, something that is essential for my night- time ride. Also, being wireless is there is one less cable to snag onto and that is a definite plus for me. All essential data is presented in a large, crisp, two line script. The absence of multiple data lines is an important safety feature, encouraging me to pay adequate attention to the road ahead and not be distracted by too much info on the computer screen. The unit was easy to install on my cycle and over the last week the data tallies exactly with an independent GPS tracker that I matched the Pradone+ against. Like I said, this has been a good buy and being a CatEye product, I have the confidence that this product will be well worth my investment in it. A definite ‘buy’ recommendation from me.
