 You are looking for a Shimano XT equipped hardtail but prefer a double chainring setup. Look no further; the BIG. NINE XT2 aluminum 29er is your perfect off-road companion. 

Closely related to our BIG. NINE XT-EDITION, the XT2 also features our double-butted aluminum frame with a more comfort-orientated geometry in comparison to our more racy models. Still, it offers the rider a huge 24-speed gear range courtesy of the Shimano XT/SLX drivetrain. Combined with the 100 mm air suspension fork provided by Manitou and powerful Shimano disc brakes, the XT2 combines comfort, climbing ability, and reliable stopping power.

Mountain biking is one of the most varied cycling disciplines and probably the most demanding when it comes to equipment. While full-suspension bikes offer amazing riding characteristics, the classic hardtail remains one of the purest tools for the job. Our 29er wheel is equipped BIG.NINE range comes in carbon and aluminum and features multiple geometry options. The carbon and LITE framed BIG.NINE, with its racing geometry, is an ideal companion on XC and marathon race tracks whilst the more relaxed geometry of the BIG. NINE TFS and SPEED offer a more comfortable, upright riding position. Our classic hardtails are the backbone of our range and showcase the enormous wealth of experience and knowledge we could gain in almost half a century of bike production and manufacturing. Merida Bicycles are covered by the following warranty terms ensuring freedom from defects in materials and workmanship.Models from 2011 onwards are covered by the following warranty
Frameset:

  • Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Frameset only against structural defects in material or workmanship.
  • A rider and equipment weight limit of 120kg applies; 140kg for performance and hybrid eBikes.
  • Category 5 models carry a 5 year warranty

Forks: Carbon and aluminium rigid forks are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of purchase.

  1. Merida branded components, including paint and finish, are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  2. Bikes used for Racing are excluded.

All other original parts shall be covered exclusively by the stated warranty of their original manufacturer

Exclusions

  • Misuse or Negligence: The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligent handling of the products, including but not limited to improper installation, disassembly, or modification.

  • Unauthorized Repairs or Alterations: Any attempt to repair or alter the bicycle lights by individuals or service providers not authorized by the manufacturer will void the warranty.

  • Natural Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration, scratches, and fading over time, are excluded from the warranty coverage.

  • Accidents or External Forces: Damages caused by accidents, collisions, or exposure to extreme external forces (e.g., impacts, falls, or severe weather conditions) are not covered under this warranty.

  • Incompatible Use: The warranty does not extend to damages resulting from using the bicycle lights & Computers in ways inconsistent with their intended purpose or specifications.

  • Failure to Follow Instructions: Damages arising from a failure to follow the product's operating instructions, guidelines, or recommended practices as outlined in the user manual are not covered.

  • Battery Exclusions: For products with rechargeable batteries, the warranty may exclude battery degradation over time or failures caused by non-compliance with proper charging procedures.

  • Third-Party Accessories: Damages caused by the use of third-party accessories, components, or modifications not explicitly approved by the manufacturer are not covered.

  • Failure to Provide Proof of Purchase: Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, and failure to provide such documentation may result in the exclusion of the product from warranty coverage.

Terms & Conditions

  • Service must be performed by an authorized retailer. 
  • Insurance, handling and transportation charges to Distributor shall be borne by Customer.
