Owning a bike is exciting — but knowing how to use it, care for it, and ride with confidence makes all the difference.

Course Content
Three areas (Know – Care – Ride) cover the full beginner toolkit: familiarity with the bike, the ability to care for it, and confidence to ride it.
1. Know Your Bike
Introduce the bicycle: key parts, terminology, and what each component does.
Teach basic pre-ride checks (ABC & Q: Air, Brakes, Chain, Quick release).
Build familiarity so the bike doesn’t feel intimidating.
2. Take Care of Your Bike
Simple maintenance routines: cleaning, lubrication, storage.
Must-have tools & spares for every cyclist.
How to handle common issues (like a flat tire) and when to visit a bike shop.
3. Ride with Confidence
Basic riding skills: braking, shifting gears, balance, hydration.
Safety essentials: helmets, visibility, road/traffic etiquette.
Smart habits: service schedules, building endurance gradually, and enjoying the ride.
The course is aimed at individuals new to cycling with little, or no prior knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance
Requirements
The instruction will be in the English language and the session will be conducted in person at our Bangalore Bike Shop unless otherwise mentioned.
A notebook and pen will be useful for taking notes as these sessions are not recorded but delivered live. Tools, having a bike on hand and prior cycling knowledge are not required.
The overall session typically lasts 60 - 90 minutes depending on the enthusiasm of the class and the instructor.
