Lovely bell. Even if it has a flaw?

I wanted a really nice bell for my bike, especially after having experienced the basic ones in the past which were... not great. I found this one within my budget and liked the design and function.

To start off, it has a really nice sound. It is pleasant and loud at the same time. Definitely made people turn heads (in a good way)! I noticed it was a little loose when I received it and the little spring/lever had come off. Thankfully the design is fairly straightforward - I managed to put it back together and tighten it. I even rotated the spring/lever for better reachability.

If it has one flaw, it would be its consistency. It's more of a user error thing but it's unavoidable. You need to push it down and release it perfectly in order to get it to ring consistently without getting muted. It's problematic when you need to ring it a couple times within short notice. Really depends on the design of your bike's handlebar to be able to position it perfectly for your thumb. I have mine as close as possible to the gear selector and it's a bit of a reach for my (already long) thumb.

I would still recommend it if that doesn't sound like a problem to you. Perhaps you may prefer the one that looks like a school bell - that looks more consistent overall while having a similar mechanism.

Also, despite the added shipping fee of 100 or whatever, it was a nice shopping experience. Super quick delivery, too. Thanks, BOTS.
