This stand although does the job, lacks weight to establish a stable base. Mine just rocks back and forth. I had to weld a thick base plate to bring more stability. Utility wise this stand is good as the rubber coated holders don't scratch the frame.
Holds bike steady. Just about fit for the job. For road bikes or hybrids it is acceptably stable. Some more weight at the bottom would make it very stable.
I used it for regilar cleaning. But the design should have kept in mind the weight of the bicycle would try to tip it to one direction.
For the record, my bike weighs 13.5kgs and the product's mentioned limit is 20 kgs.
The bike tipped over and fell on me multiple times while I was cleaning the chains, cassette and derailleurs.
I feel bad to have spent that much money on something that doesn't work. Plus, I am disappointed with the brand and BOTS to have hosted such a product.
Thanks for sharing the feedback Rohit. This particular product does pretty well for what it was intended for, which is just to hold the bike as a stand at home. The product is quite light and not bulky, which is great if you want a nice lightweight stand to hold your bike upright at home. Definitely not the correct product for servicing your bicycle as this activity requires quite a bit of movement of the bicycle.
We would recommend you consider a simple home mechanic workstand as that would work as desired vis-a-vis a display stand.
I am using it for my carbon bike this is the best one as of now
Cheap alternative to other service stands if all you wish to do is clean/tune drivetrain and wash the cycle. Not as sturdy as one would like.
