Description

The Lezyne Sport Drive HP is a great value high pressure hand pump equipped with the versatile Flex Hose (non-ABS). The pump barrel and shaft are made of aluminum with a Composite Matrix handle and end caps. The HP pump design easily inflates tires to riding pressure with fewer strokes. The overlapping handle and barrel are integrated into a compact design. It comes with a Composite Matrix frame mount.

Gets the basics right

The pump is well built. There are no air leaks when you pump. It comes with a holder which attaches to the bottle cage mount ( The mount can be used along with the Bottle holder)

Gets the job done

Buy it if you need something "cheap" for emergencies only. It is reliable and can pump a 700c 25mm tyre up to ~80 psi (when cold) without any excessive resistance. The "flexible hose" is not very flexible and screws on tight. This may pose as an inconvenience for those with motor issues and incredibly sweaty hands. The threads on the pump itself are made of plastic, so longevity may pose as an issue (If you're willing to drop another Rs1,100 there is a better replacement hose available, however do check compatibility with BOTS). I do not think the pump is as easily user-serviceable like the Birzman pumps, however, I see that as a positive as you don't need to carry a coin for when a screw inevitably comes loose and lets all the air out.

Premium Quality

It is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The construction is solid, uses metal tubes with plastic on top - and not a cheap one at that. You can tell it is German just by handling the product. Comes with a mount, can be used by itself or underneath a bottle cage. Be mindful that small pumps are made only to get you out of a pinch, it will inflate your tires but not get you to a high PSI, you will have to use a large pump to get your air pressures right. Overall, an excellent buy.
