Product Story

A capable trail hardtail for the rider who wants a wide-range 10-speed 1x drivetrain and 29" wheels for easy roll-over, without the price of full suspension.

Overview

The Marin Bobcat Trail 4 29er (Silver) is built around a Series 2 6061 aluminum frame paired with an SR Suntour XCM HLO-DS fork offering 120mm of travel with hydraulic lockout.

It's equipped with a Shimano CUES 10-speed 1x drivetrain and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, sitting a step above the Bobcat Trail 3 with genuine CUES-generation shifting.

This is a bike for a rider ready to step up to modern trail geometry and real singletrack, with newer-generation Shimano CUES shifting and 29" wheels for easier roll-over.

Why You'll Like It

A fork that locks out for efficiency
The SR Suntour XCM HLO-DS fork gives 120mm of travel with hydraulic lockout for control on technical climbs and descents, and more efficient pedaling when you don't need the travel.

Modern Shimano CUES shifting
The Shimano CUES 10-speed 1x drivetrain and 11-48T cassette give newer-generation shifting precision and a wide enough range for steep climbs.

29" wheels for easier roll-over
The larger wheel diameter carries momentum through roots, rocks, and ruts more easily than a smaller wheel.

Hydraulic brakes for confident control
Tektro hydraulic disc brakes give confident, consistent stopping power in all conditions, where a mechanical setup would fade on long descents.

Who Is It For?

Suited to riders ready to step up to modern trail geometry and deeper into mountain biking, wanting newer-generation Shimano CUES shifting and the roll-over advantage of 29" wheels.

For riders in India exploring trail destinations near most major cities, where loose, rocky, and technical terrain is common, hydraulic brakes and real suspension travel genuinely matter rather than being a nice-to-have.

Good to Know

Shimano's CUES drivetrain is a newer generation than Altus or Acera, giving smoother, more consistent shifting over time.
